For those lucky to know him, Robin Nash was more than just a person who helped to make Wide Mouth Mason be the band they are. For those years he was actively working behind the scenes of Wide Mouth Mason's gigs and recording, all who knew him were blessed. If there was anything he could do to help the band out, he was there. Whether it be musically or otherwise. And with his help, Wide Mouth Mason and countless other musicians saw their music be.
The Canadian music scene lost a wonderful person when Nash left these earthly realms. His friends and family lost a source of strength and of innate goodness and determination.
Words cannot express the sorrow those of us fortunate to know Nash feel. But comfort is gained knowing that whatever role he's playing in the big jam up there, he's bringing that innate sense of wonderful Nash-ness that we all love him for.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Nash's name to the S.C.A.R.S. (Second Chance Animal Rescue Society). Some of the music Nash had a part in can be found at Nash's MySpace as well as the MySpace of his main band, The Schematics.
Masonites with photos of Nash are asked to send them to Kat.
